Upcoming commission: Sports, and the Internet of Things

For the Guardian’s Creative Data series on technology in sport, the next article will look at the impact of the Internet of Things.
For this article, we’re looking at everything from player wearables to fan engagement. How is being able to “join up” connectivity helping both on-the-pitch performance but also for how sports team are able to run themselves as businesses. The focus isn’t on any specific sport, but on lessons learned – and the potential of the technology to bring changes to performance, the fan experience or the business of sports clubs in the future.
