The piece I’m researching will appear in a Future of Retail report in the Sunday Times.

The synopsis is below. I’m especially keen to talk to retailers themselves. The deadline to submit brief ideas (by email) is 4pm on Wednesday, 10 April.

Data Behind The Customer Experience

This feature will investigate the myriad ways in which Big Data is changing (and will change) retail for the customer. From mapping customer behaviour (often in real time) to gleaning rich customer insights and anticipating patterns and trends, the retailers’ case for using data to grow and develop a business is irresistible. Yet many traditional retailers are still not making the most of the range of data available to them. Incorporating case studies, leading industry voices and commentary, you should cover the complexities around data management, application of business analytics and how this data can be used within customer loyalty programmes and throughout the ever-smarter retail supply chain.
