New online magazine: Audio Video Pro

Regular readers probably know that I’ve been running a blog focused on audio and video journalism for about a year.

That proved to be popular, and it seems to make sense to adapt the site to a wider audience. The result is a new magazine for professionals working across audio and video:Audio Video Pro.

The magazine aims to provide information, advice, news and reviews to this demanding, professional audience: rather than be an industry magazine, it is very much aimed at practitioners.

And, although there are plenty of good blogs by film makers, and about film making and video, we hope there is a gap in the market for a journalist-led site that has more of the look and feel of a magazine. Also, the audio production community — whether that is sound recordists working in TV and film, radio professionals, or podcasters, is rather under served. We hope to do a little to address that.

Do have a look, and let us know what you think. There will be new sections and content coming over the next few months.

We’re also keen to receive targeted pitches from PR companies and manufacturers in the audio, video, film making and photography industries. The magazine’s reviews, contributions and PR policies are here. And if you are interested in advertising or sponsorship, that’s possible too.
