Upcoming articles: December

I’ve been busy with a few other projects such as Infosecurity Magazine’s Webinar Week, which starts Monday Dec 3. Details of future webinars to follow.

I am working on a piece for the January issue of Infosecurity Magazine, looking at a “CEO’s Guide to Compliance: What You Need to Know for 2013”.

CEOs/CIOs/CSOs are seldom provided a venue to educate themselves on the challenges facing the infosec industry and its practitioners. This article sets out to be plain-spoken guide for management, explaining in terms of risk what compliance changes are in the works or are expected in 2013.

Please contact me by email for a more detailed outline.

Suitable spokespeople:
CEOs, CIOs, CISOs, finance directors of end-user business
Academic experts or industry analysts
IT security consultants or management consultants working on compliance

Deadline for PR submissions: noon, GMT, Friday 14th December

Meanwhile I am looking for input for a report on virtualisation and cloud for IT Pro. Please submit brief ideas and details of spokespeople by Weds 5 December. We’re especially interested in speaking to CIOs and IT directors.

The idea of a completely virtualised future is unrealistic as many of the technologies we use now will and have become the supporting infrastructure for the delivery of cloud software and services. How can companies best adapt? This feature should look at what so-called legacy techs will be important in the cloud-enabled world and how companies can best prepare. What new skills, tools and technologies might also be needed?

    Hi Stephen,

I wondered if you would be interested in speaking to Liongate Capital’s Dustin Mommen (Systems Manager) about the below case study:

He could tell you more about how they have benefited from virtualising at the storage level using Tintri, VMAware storage, which won best in show at VMWorld.

If you were interested I could also arrange a call with Kieran Harty, Tintri’s CEO to give you a background briefing on the disruptive technology behind Tintri.
