Update following the fire – and a special offer

The last couple of weeks have been a challenge, to say the least.

But, following the fire at the offices in Kingston on Nov 8, we’ll be moving to new premises from Monday 26th November. This may be a temporary arrangement, as the landlord’s plans for the Kingston building are not yet clear. But the telecoms people are moving over the ISDN lines on November 29th, so everything should be up and running at the new offices by early December at the latest.

Now, for the good news:

Our new base is attached to a newly built studio in Teddington. There is a fully equipped, dedicated video studio that’s also soundproofed and acoustically treated. The studio comes complete with a lighting rig and a chromakey (greenscreen) background. The studio’s also large enough to accommodate up to half a dozen guests for round-table style discussions for either video or as audio, which is a step up from the audio live room in the old office. With a fibre broadband connection, it also lends itself to streaming. It is fully accessible, has secure, on-site parking, and coffee! This offers some really exciting possibilities.

And thanks again to everyone for their support over the last few weeks, it has been tremendously helpful and reassuring.

The offer: an all-in studio shoot

We thought it would be good to let clients (editorial or corporate) put the new facilities to the test.

So, for bookings confirmed between now and the end of December, we are offering a day’s single-camera video shoot — including the green screen — or audio an recording for up to four speakers , for £500, or £350 for a half day*. After that, our usual rates will apply. Of course, if you want other options, such as a multi-camera shoot or prompter, please contact us and we will give a good price.

These slots might fill up quickly, so if you are interested, drop me a line setting out your requirements.

*The small print:

A day is 10am to 4pm in the studio. A half day is 0930 to 12 noon or 1300-1600.

Rate includes rental of the space, green screen, lighting and/or sound, camera and a producer or camera operator. For video, recording is Sony XDCAM EX 35mbps (50mbps 422 on request) or PCM-WAV 48/24 for audio, with files copied to client media at the end of the session.

Rates exclude VAT. Please ask for other services, such as editing.
